There are an infinite number of pathways to reach a successful and rewarding career, whatever your definition of success may be. The ColoradoTalentDashboard.com presents a range of data points to show the trends behind the pathways Coloradans are taking, and the successes and challenges Colorado is facing in supporting students and job seekers, and meeting labor market demand.
A little history about this site…
In 2014, our blue sky state of Colorado was accepted to the National Governors’ Association Policy Academy, with a focus on “Aligning the Education and Training Pipeline to the Needs of the Economy.” At the helm, the Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC) partnered with the Governor’s Policy Office, the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), the Department of Higher Education (CDHE), the Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), and the Department of Education (CDE).
Colorado has gained momentum toward aligning our education, workforce and economic development systems to meet the needs of Colorado’s economy today and in the future. We strive to maintain Colorado’s reputation as a great place to live, work and play, thereby attracting talent, while also growing our own talent by improving our ability to educate and train Coloradans for the jobs of today and tomorrow. This requires cross-agency collaboration – an assurance that each agency is contributing to a more unified talent development system that meets our workforce needs and supports the growth of our economy. A system that finds talent: TalentFOUND.
